hey all, ive decided to take up on my old intel and OCing it :D
its an old s478 p4 2.8E Prescott running with an ASUS p4p800-E Deluxe
for some reason, it says the the multi in the bios is locked, does this unlocked multi (decrease only) apply to AMD chips only?
also, i was able to increase the speed, however, i could only hit 225fsb, is this average?
comments/suggestions welcome, thanks

Your Prescott does not have the ability to lower the multiplier.
225 is about average, depending on your RAM. Have you tried a RAM divider?

You should be able to hit higher that 225FSB. make sure your PCI/AGP is fixed at 33/66 and try using a 5:4 memory divider.
