1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
This will be a gaming rig primarily. Modded Skyrim will be the main game. Other than that, I'll also be doing video editing.
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
$800-$1000
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
Portland, Oregon, USA. I'm relatively near Fry's and have Amazon Prime
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
CPU
Motherboard
RAM
Power supply
HDD
Video card
Case
CD/DVD drive
Operating System
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
Mouse, keyboard and ViewSonic VX2025WM
6) Will you be overclocking?
No
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
1680 x 1050, 20.1"
I do plan on upgrading this eventually, but it's not part of this build.
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
ASAP. I'm getting sick of Skyrim stuttering every few seconds.
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
It would be nice if it had Crossfire/SLI support for futureproofing
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If so, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
No

Any comments? It's been about 5 years since my last build and I haven't been keeping up with the tech since then so I'm sure I've made some mistake somewhere. Any place I could lower the price while keeping performance? I'm currently at about $1225 and I'd like to get back to the sub-$1000 range so I can afford to get a new monitor.
