Well I'm looking for a transcoder to go from component to VGA. The application will be home theater equip/gaming systems (though a receiver of course), to a 2005fpw which as we all know very well doesn't have component input. It does have VGA though and that also is capeable of taking a HD signal (720p in this case) so with that I know what I need.

Anyway, I found this on Ram electronics:

Love it. Problem is the price tag. I did a quick check on ebay rendering basically arround the same price. Is there a supar sekret webpage with similar products for less money (must allow high resolution passthrough, must de-interlace)?

Anyway, any help in this matter would be appreciated.

Looks nifty. The only way to make it more perfect (for my uses) would be to have dual component input and single vga output, but I can see why for most people this particular setup is optimal.

nm, almost forgot you were using a 2005fpw, which runs a higher resolution.
