help me find a printer

I think my HP printer has finally bit the Dust, event though its not that old (3-4 years), and never used it that much, but it no longer recognizes the black cartridge.

I would like to buy another printer, budget is $100 at most, and I need it to have the same quality in printing and scanning as my old pinter or better.

Now, the printer I had my eye on is this one, but is it better than what I have?

IMHO your better off with another HP photosmart..

And if its not recognizing the black ink have you by chance tried replacing the black ink cart?

OK, is it the same cartridge it won't recognize? The cartridges themself can die. Have you tried a new one?

That's an amazing deal for $100, assuming all the features work as-advertised. From my experience, Canon makes some of the most trouble-free inkjets around (just don't bother with their laser units).
