Help me find a good UPS unit

I am looking for a UPS unit that will last at least an hour or 2 for a server with monitor in case the power goes out. This is for a small 5 person company and not an individual.

Any ideas would be great.

Budget? I'd recommend a Liebert GXT2-1500 and an extra battery unit. This isn't going to run the individual desktops, is it?

Over an hour could be really pricey (well that is always relative but.....), why do you have to have over 1 hour uptime?

My Liebert (with no additional battery cabinets) gives me over an hour. Back when I had an Athlon XP, I got close to 3 hours! Of course, this is with my monitor off. So it really depends on specs of computer. But getting that extra battery cabinet is a good idea anyway unless you're on a really tight budget.

This is going to be for a p4 3ghz with 2x sata hard drives in raid 1.

The boss just wants 1+ hrs.

Looking at that Liebert you suggested it only says it has 5-6min at full load, nowhere close to what I need.

Probably looking to spend around 1k.

You won't be loading it more than 25% with a computer like that. It'll do an hour without an extra battery cabinet easy. And if you go for it on Ebay, you should be able to get the unit and TWO extra battery cabinets for that price. Should give you around 6h.

1 hour is dependant on how much of a load you're giving the UPS. Around how many watts of power you figure you'll be drawing from the UPS?
