Help me configure a system ($500)

$10 says someone says "Shop around at newegg.com" :)

Anyway, is there a reason why you can't reuse your other hard drives for the OS?

Oh and with the E4300 9x multiplier, you can get away with using cheap DDR2 667 or DDR2 800 RAM for a decent overclock. No need to buy high end RAM. So if possible, look around for cheaper RAM.

I gotta ask... what PSU will you be using with this build?

OH, and shop around at the egg, you'll find much cheaper prices!

Ahh very decent power supply. Well then, can't think of anything else to poke holes in. It looks like a good build.

Alright, time to pick between boards:

P5B-Plus (965)
P5B-E (965)
P5N-E (650i)
P5K (P35)
DS3 (965

Such a hard choice.

The P5B-Plus and P5B-E are the same, except the Plus uses solid caps, and a black pcb instead of yellow.
P5N-E is 650i, and has 2 ide's
P5K is p35, overclocks Great, but the ide is in a terrible place.
DS3, It overclocks well, but I don't like the position of the IDE too much. Uses solid caps.

Ended up going with:

E4300
2x1gb Buffalo Firestix PC8000 (D9GKX)
P5B Deluxe

For $330 usd + shipping

and

320gb 7200.10 Seagate (from n00btard)
