I'm just an average computer builder, I've built my computer 2 years ago from Black Friday and I'm fairly content with it. However, I cannot take the fan's noise from my system anymore and I would like to do something about it. I have been using this case:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811154106

I just recently realized there is a huge dent on it which makes it a good time to get an upgrade too. Also, the fact all these see through cases are really wow-ing me makes me want to get a new case as well.

Can someone suggest me a good case that can reveal good lighting on it? I'm only planning to get a mid tower. And please let me know which fans would be best to put into the case. Budget is around $100 for the case and not sure about the fans, $30? I hope the case can at least have a USB 3.0 if possible and a 2.5 floppy bay for my existing card reader.

*edit: just realized that the fan may have something to do with the PSU right? Er meaning I might have to replace it as well?

Thank you.

If you can drop that card reader requirement, these are simply some of the best ~$100 cases out there IMO:
$80 - Corsair Carbide Series 300R ATX Case
$90 - Corsair Carbide Series 400R ATX Case
$105 - Fractal Design Define R4 with Window Arctic White ATX Case
$105 - Fractal Design Define R4 with Window Titanium Grey ATX Case
$105 - Fractal Design Define R4 with Window Black Pearl ATX Case
$110 - Antec 1100 ATX Case

Don't worry about additional fans yet. Try out the stock fans first, see if they're too loud for you, and then upgrade. Do note that a lot of quiet 120mm fans aren't lighted so you may lose lighting in a case if you're not using some other method of lighting up a case.

Not necessarily. There are some quiet PSUs out there and there are some loud PSUs out there. So what's the make and model of your PSU?

Don't bother with a new case. Get a new PSU first. It's amazing that your PC has lasted this long with a such a shitty PSU. What's the specs of your current system?

I concur. Replace that PSU ASAP

Here's my system:
AMD Phenom II X4 925 @ 2.8 GHz
ASUS M4A87TD
HIS Radeon 5770 1GB
2TB Seagate HDD(will be upgrading to SSD on Black Friday)
12GB DDR3 RAM

And alright I will replace the PSU. Would a lower PSU be okay for my system? I currently have a 550w.

Sorry I kinda wish I can upgrade myself but I have no idea what I'd do with this one if I decide go get another computer :[

Another good PSU. I've been a Corsair fan for quite some time now. Still have a 6 year old HX520 performing amazingly (with a fan replacement).

Not that good of a PSU for the money: Only has 40A on the +12V rail, same amount as our HX520. That's low for a "600W" PSU considering that the Antec Neo Eco 620C has 48A on the +12V rail. Not to mention the lower quality compared to the Seasonic build Antec Neo Eco 620C or the Corsair HX520.
