Help! Computer Randomly Freezes

I am having a problem where my computer randomly freezes. It never gives a blue screen. If audio is playing when it freezes, the audio plays 100x slower than normal. Sometimes after a few seconds it will unfreeze or other times I will have to restart the system.

I thought it was the video card because sometimes when it would unfreeze, it would say graphics driver crashed. I replaced my 560ti with a 7870 and it still happens.

Other times when it would unfreeze, it would say Adobe Flash crashed. I downgraded to an earlier version of flash and it still would freeze. I reinstalled windows and updated every driver and it still freezes. I ran memtest and got no errors.

The freezes sometimes happen every 30 min or every 30 seconds.

Kill your onboard video if you can. Remove the intel VGA drivers and install the driver that gigabyte recommends for your board, Intel VGA driver version 15.28.4.2843.

Intel pushed a driver update out in December 2012 through MSUpdate that has caused me the same problems on Z68 and Z77 MBs with onboard video even when a GPU was installed, the above solutions worked for me on 3 computers (i5 2400, i5 3570k & i7 3770), all work now with onboard video re-enabled
 
I uninstalled the drivers and went with the older ones and it still happens. I will try doing the bare build next.
 
Well it still happens.
System as it is now.
CPU, Mobo, Ram, SSD, Bluray drive and Wireless card.
I took out the video card and unplugged the extra hard drives.
 
Have you tried running the system in Safe Mode and performing some diagnostics from there?
 
It actually is happening far less frequently with the other stuff unplugged. Only once in the past 2 hours. Possible its the power supply?

edit: Just happened again and the reliability thing in windows said video hardware failure.

PSU, CPU and MB are about all that's left and the psu is the cheapest and easiest to replace.

I would try Win reinstall with out updates except the drivers that Gigabyte has for your MB before making any more hardware changes.
 
Have you flashed the Motherboard Bios. I know that has fixed issues with my computer on more than one occasion.
 
It turns out the problem was the first pci slot on the board. I have the card in the second pcie slot and no problems at all. I will be replacing the mobo.
 
I would try flashing the Mobo before replacing anything. potentially save yourself the money with only a little bit of time
