HEC (Compucase)

HEC has been around for a while. I wouldn't say that they have the best reputation anymore though.

They had a good rep to being with?

Anyway, IIRC, HEC tends to over-rate their PSUs. Like a 500W could be a 300W in reality, etc.

HEC/Compucase Enterprise/Wei Shun/Herolchi Electronic have been around for a LONG time. They have not been reviewed yet since they have never been in contact and for the longest time did not produce anything in the enthusiast realm that was worth really looking at. The Cougar's and some of there other newer units certainly look more interesting but without product there is not much I can do ;)

I had some real turkeys from Thermaltake made by them years back in time (early Purepower series). One died and took out my mobo. Second one was the replacement and it was DOA, lawl. So my impression of HEC/CC certainly isn't the very best.

PCstats has a description of a 650W HEC Zepher, and while the testing isn't impressive (their load is just 120W), the photos show a PSU that at least looks decent internally.

Well, the internals looking decent doesn't have any bearing on how well the PSU actually performs (unless you're an electrical engineer and you can actually tell something useful from a visual inspection).
