How much of a difference is there between these 2 in terms of heat dissipation? I would love to get a Heatkiller but I can never find one for sale so I was thinking of buying a Koolance CPU-350 instead since I have heard decent things about it.

i think lt is the regular one. heh. really it just comes down to looks and price. the copper top obviously radiates heat better since its copper, but compared to the water cooling its nothing. i think it gives like an extra half a degree or something. dont quote me on that though.

that cu sure is purdy though aint it?

LOL nah I actually prefer the black :) but I don't want to take a huge performance hit for aesthetics. Only other thing I was thinking of really was to go with air cooling and use a TRUE.

if youre up for it and have the money, the HK LT will give you much better temps than a TRUE. and if noise is a concern for you, even more so. you wont "take a hit" with the LT instead of CU, except the LT wont get you laid. :\ if you do want to go with air the yeah the TRUE is your best bet depending on your budget.

But the CU will get you laid? I'll take 10.

The difference between all of them is roughly a degree. The internals of the LT and the CU are the same and provide the best performance. The LC uses fewer channels in the base and doesn't cool as well.

@Alchemy1

Ah, thats -EXACTLY- what I needed to see, very informative! Much appreciated!

Cheers!

I ended up ordering

Heatkiller 3.0 LT
Black Ice GT Stealth 240 rad
Bitspower Rotary 45 x2
(4) 1/2" ID 3/4" OD compression fittings
Pressure valve screwtop
6 Scythe Gentle Typhoon - Ultra High speed

I'm going to be using this in conjuction with my existing cooling which consists of Foxconn Bloodrage NB block, MCP355 with XSPC top, Black Ice GT Stealth 120 rad, EK 5.25 dual bay, Fillport and line temp sensor.

Bitspower Rotarys with the compressions are gonna be connected to the Heatkiller, and the pressure valve is gonna replace the screw top on my fillport. The single and dual are going to be setup in push/pull config and mounted internally in my HAF 932.

I just hope that the 4 existing Scythe Gentle Typhoons mounted on the side panel will be enough to expel the heat.
