Why doesn't ATi include a fan speed control in CCC?It seems that from 5.6 onwards, we (as ati owners) are to see an increase of heat temperatures to previous drivers sets so why not allow users to increase the rpm of the fan to keep the card cool?

I dont think its needed. But its in ATI Tool in the advanced options tab if you want to mess with it you can force what ever RPM you want. ATI cards have preset fan speeds for core temps, so i really dont see the need.
 
This is what I'm getting at. I mean why should I have to use a 3rd party program to increase my fan speed? ATi should allow their card owners to do this, not everyone knows about ati tools or omega drivers. Also, the 'need' is that now cards are heating up with the new driver sets released (be it for whatever reason).

Yea but you just missed what i said? ATI's cards have PRESET fanspeeds for X temperatures. I think its increments of 10 or 15C over 60C the RPM increase. If its getting hotter this should kick in if its needed. You can blow a heatsink fan on these things if you run it at 100% non stop in a couple weeks. This is problably the main reason its not there. They can seriously spin up when they need to, i'v never seen a graphics card fan need to go max RPM though. I just think they wanted to avoid everyone going "hmm my fan speed isnt going as cool as it should" and clicking this, next thing they know theres a wave of RMA for busted heatsink fans. This is usually the first thing that goes on overclocked 9800s if you'll notice.
 
Yes but for a card series such as the x850 the fan runs at an exteremly low speed (anyone have the %?), however when the card hits 90+*C (as it does in some cases now due to the new driver set), the fan speed stays moderately the same and the card is underclocked. I'd rather have the option (which I technically do, although not through ati official software) to run my fan at a higher rpm (I don't want it at 100% on my x850xt, I quite enjoy the feature of being able to hear :D), have a cooler card and not have it underclocked.
