Anybody doing it?
The issue, for those that haven't tried it, is if you RDP into your boxen, it kills the video drivers, and GPU2 reports a lack of compatible video drivers.
Anybody know a way around it?

cheap kvm plugged into the headless boxen? :confused:

 
No, really. VNC.
RDP is a problem with the f@h GPU client.
 
VNC will work fine if you are starting the client manually. I have 2 boxes setup to auto-login, so this will also startup the client without issue with a shortcut in the startup folder if you don't want to be bothered with it.

I don't think I can do that with Windows Home Server (aka Server 2k3).

I'll give VNC a whirl
 
Wow :eek:, bein' kinda uneducated about IT in general and bein' an avid fan of this "diskless and everything else" method of folding. I Googled the VNC thing (d'oh :rolleyes:) and I have decided IMO it would be smart to keep a close eye on this thread.

Would you knowledgeable IT people please make any info understandable to us less than IT knowledgeable people. (in other words one syllable words) :rolleyes:

So I took a look at VNC (the free version). It doesn't explicitly state that it supports Vista. Does it?
