My DirecTV HD-DVR quit working (satellite signal issue HDDs fine) so I pulled the HDD (WD 320gb) out but am having a hard time formatting it. I have tried Disk Management & Active Disk Kill to wipe the drive. No luck as of yet. There is a 100mb (boot partition?) that appears to be stopping any attempt at a format. Any ideas?
 
IIRC, those kinds of HD-DVRs usually come with hard drives locked to devices only, not PCs.
