I have a Seagate ST3500320AS, and it just suddenly failed. The SATA controller on my mobo eventually stops trying to initialize it and gives up. I don't hear any clicking whatsoever, so I suspect the circuitboard controller on the drive may be fucked.
Is it replaceable and if so, what are my options?
