HDA X-Plosion (DTS Live Encoding)

I just noticed this card coming out by HDA/Bluegears .. did a search but didn't find any posts about it..

It has the HDA Mystiques DDL 5.1 but also seems to add the DTS Live encoding (Seems to be called DTS Interactive) too..

i personally love my Mystique, but i wonder if the DTS Encoding will be better than the DDL as the DTS has the higher bandwidth..
 
they have been promising new drivers forever.. i wouldn't get another HDA card.

It's been talked about, personally I wish HDA would support OpenAL and Directsound 3D totally in hardware first (like Soundstorm did) before I would buy it again. My personal preference though.

The bandwidth is higher though for DTS (1500 vs 640), not sure if that will make an audible difference though.
 
i wonder what was changed in the 46-4.1 over the 46.4's

or is it really 46.4.1 vs 46.4.. i've been using the beta drivers for a while now with no problems. (32bit windows)
 
weird. i tried installing the new drivers on my mystique and they refuse to install. i have never seen such p*ss-poor driver support. i will never by another card from these morons again.
 
Just down graded from the new drivers back to the ones from June. Games that previously only had a couple sound problems like GTA SA (rain storm issue cuts out all dialog and sfx) went to shit after the update.

I though creative had crappy drivers... my god.

Any other experiences with the new update. What the hell do they do anyways?

they changed their company names but never took down the old sites. i complained in an email and they redirected me to a new company page

in 64bit the drivers fix alot of issues such as old drivers that didnt ddl or newer drivers that had menus disapear
