Hey,

new to the forum here,
i have a stock 5770, no over clock no nothing, but yet when i even begin to game whether it's
sc2 or LoL or anything that'll require some power from it, it begins to make loud noises. I've taken it off the mobo to try to look for loose pieces, but have found nothing to date. does anyone have any ideas what i could do to try to fix this?

thanks!

Does it sound like a fan grinding or something physical? Try going into the catalyst control center, then into performance, and then overdrive. Manually adjust the fan speed higher and see if the noise your hearing is a result of the fan spinning faster as the card heats up under load.

okay it's for certain the fan. if i push it past 50%, it starts making a loud noise. is this usually dust or is there actual...physical damage to it? and thanks! i never thought about using the manual fan control to check this.
