HD Tach result question.

I just got the 150gig raptor. It makes a rattle noise so I ran Hd Tach.
This is the result.


should i worry about the huge dip? did i get a bad drive?
 
Nope. Odds are something else just happened to request data from the disk at that point. If you run the test again you'll likely get a different result.

 
I rebooted my computer and ran it again. The dips occured again in the same spot.
 
the rattle noise that i heard that made me run hd tach in the first place was actually comming from my case. i just ran hd tach again and just like before the huge dip shows up in the exact same spot.
 
Well I'd try HD Tune and see if you get a dip in the same spot, otherwise I wouldn't worry. The benchmark looks right on.
 
if you are worried about the drive being bad, run WD Diagnostics
 
WD Diagnostics didnt detect any problems. This is the HD Tune results, i ran it a few times and get about the same results every time.

I believe the dip in HD Tach matches up to the dip between the 30-35% mark in HD Tune.
