worth folding on a HD 7770? I just picked one up and wouldn't mind replacing a GTS250 with it. The 250 is a cheapo Sparkle unit with a puny fan which runs 100% while folding and the noise is getting on my nerves. any numbers out there?

I didn't see any definitive numbers with the latest version of the beta core. Closest was a 7790 which someone reported around 38k PPD on. If TPF is scaled strictly based on the core ratio, the 7770 would probably get around 22k PPD, but that assumption may not be all that valid; in particular, I believe these test WUs are rather small, so they shouldn't do quite as worse on lower-end cards.

Thanks Dookey, Patriot for the concrete numbers. Definitely blows away the old GTS250. I'm assuming v7 is req'd. Once the rig is finished folding the smp it's on I'll switch the CPU and GPU's to v7.
