Having problems using 8600GT with HDTV

I have a brand new tv and computer.....why not hook the two up? Well i can't get my gpu to see that i have the tv plugged in. It will see both my 22"ers but wont see the component video breakout cable going to my tv. I can't find any help searching around so i figured one of you guys, or maybe shockingly enough gals, can help me with this.




Can i run dual monitors AND my tv from the compent breakout cable? or do i have to lose a monitor to do this?

If i can do it........HOW?

Do you have the TV on and connected while you boot up the PC? I've never been able to setup a TV display after the PC has been on. And I would try it with only 1 monitor.

yeah, i found out it wont work with a dual setup.

I need a 2nd card to drive the tv......damn electronics, costing me a fortune.

Yeah the video cards are limited to two displays at a time. Either two monitors or one monitor and a television.
