Have ordered 10 PC games ...

... what do you think ?

01. Gears of war ... never played it but a friend of mine said it's one of his favourite shooter. In fact he doesn't stop praising it. Hope the second part will come out soon too for PC.
02. Advanced Warfighter 2 ... have played GRAW 1 which was tough but pretty realistic. I know it's kind of old but I'm still happy with how the first part looked like.
03. Moto GP 2008 ... I have Moto GP 2 & 3. Think that's as close as you can get to real motorbike racing. It has multiplayer built in but I couldn't find anyone yet to race against ... that would be a great fun. Don't really get why this game is not more popular.
04. Flight Simulator X ... that's almost a classic by now and very, very hardware hungry. Not everybody's taste but I always enjoyed this simulation in its earlier versions. Controlling an aircraft takes time ... it's not an arcade style game.
05. GTA 4 ... I enjoyed the previous versions, people say amazing things about this one. A friend of mine hates PCs but he's an car crazy type of guy. Will show him this one, maybe he gets to love PCs suddenly ?
06. Unreal Tournament III ... Have the 2003 and 2004 versions. Quite alright and very fast paced. I guess the gameplay is the same but has it graphically advanced ?
07. Far Cry 2 ... in fact I just finished Far Cry 1 a few weeks ago. Didn't go without cheating from level 12 onwards. Heard mixed opinions about the second part. If it's anything like the first part - I'm sure I will like it.
08. Dead Space ... this one I purely decided to buy upon video clips of the gameplay from youtube. Looks scary though Hope it's not too hard !!
09. Call of duty - World at war ... Of course I have the 4th version and love it. This one plays during the 2nd worldwar where the weapons are not as advanced. But it looks as pretty as the previous version I'd say ? Before Crysis, it was the graphically best game for me.
10. Burnout - Paradise ... I was looking for some car racing game and wasn't so much impressed with what's available. But if you look up video clips for this one - AWESOME !! ... I hope

ut3s gameplay has been consolised. You will be disappointed. I was the biggest 2k3 and 2k4 fan in the world. i still have 2k4 installed, but ut3 was uninstalled months ago

my best suggestion is if you dont mind the bad performance in game, go for it....

What are your system specs?

Out of that list, FSX and GTAIV are the most demanding.
Both highly CPU bound games. I would recommend atleast a quad core for both.

I am curious on Burnout paradises recommended specs. Its a game I loved on my PS3, I will definitely get it for PC.

CPU ... Wolfdale E8400 3GHz (not overclocked, yet)
VGA ... eVGA GeForce 8800 GT (I get about 53 degrees idle and almost 70 under load. Is that normal ?)
RAM ... 4 GB (Yeah, Vista 32-bit only recognizes about 3.3 GB)

By the way, since I updated the graphics driver which only came out recently, I noticed a better performance on Crysis. That's funny.

I'm sure FS X is going to be a problem.
Would the GTX 295 solve this issue I wonder ?

I'm still currently playing FarCry 2, and it was ok for me. There are things that I like, though I hate how the mission are all identical. If you've seen one target of opportunity mission, you've seen them all. same goes for the mission to unlock weapon and get the malaria pills

You are going to be extremely disappointed in MotoGP 08. It was made by a different studio than all the other MotoGPs. They did a crappy job, and the physics and feel are just bad.

Besides MotoGP 08 and Farcry 2, I would say the list is very good. It also seems to be somewhat balanced.

I really didn't like FC2 or UT3. Ubisoft really messed up on FC2. They seemed to forgot that in order for an open world game to be fun you need more then two types of the missions and I don't know many people that like having to stop driving every couple minutes to get out of their vehicle, kill a few people, and keep going on for another couple minutes to repeat the process. This happens in every single mission. Any time you go anywhere you have to fight those stupid outposts that respawn enemies every few minutes.

Epic just released a patch for UT3 so maybe it will make it better, but I gave up on it not long after it came out. The community just didn't exist at the time and I felt like the game was a step down from 2k4.

Wow, that's quite a list. The only two I can comment on are GRAW2 and UT3. If you liked GRAW1, I think you'll enjoy GRAW2 even more and it still holds up to recently released games IMO. I found UT3 fun, but didn't offer as much as UT2004. I'm glad to see you got good prices on both since they're older games.

OMG, on these games I notice how my demands have grown with the new generation of games.
Had re-installed F1 recently and un-installed it straight away after playing a few minutes.

I was too impatient to explore it more but it seems you need to spend a lot of time learning how to handle it !? Similar to the FS series.

I bought this one 2nd hand via eBay. Could never play it thanks to steam but I think it isn't good anyway.

The only one of those I played. If I had to rate it I would probably give it a 73%. One of the few games I can actually say was twice as long as it needed to be. If you enjoy repitition you may enjoy it. The best part is probably the different ways you can destroy things but it does get old.

Honestly I thought that it was too small in scale for the strategy elements to pan out. Ends up just being a weak squad based shooter. I found myself using all squads for supression and myself doing the flanking because the AI fails at it.

The 295 would help with everything, but you're far more CPU bound than GPU bound with FSX. A quad would help more for FSX and GTA IV, but a GTX 295 would help far more for everything else.
