I know this is a stupid, stupid question, but...

The nearest Microcenter to me is over 6 hours away, yet I will be in the vicinity of the Denver one next week. I'm stupidly excited as I've never been to one.

I intend to have a good look at Keyboards while I'm there (I hope they carry mechanical ones, as there is nowhere I've found within 4 hours or so here that does), but I guess my question is...

Is there anything else I should make it a point to try while I'm there? Something that, like a keyboard, is best to test IRL rather than buying blindly over the internet? It might be another year before I'm able to make it to another Microcenter, so I don't want to waste the visit.

Stupid, I know, but there you have it.
 
The only things I've ever bought at MicroCenter are CPUs and Motherboards (and I have one 20 minutes away).

I guess you could test case quality, the one near me tends to have a lot of cases in stock. Laptops too.
 
Trying out larger ips and 120hz monitors would be nice while you are there. Yeah the first time I went to Microcenter I was like a kid in a candy store :D
 
Ooh, good point. I've no real concept of how "big" a large IPS screen is (though I have a smallish IPS @ 21.5" presently), and that would be nice to see. Never even seen a 120Hz monitor either, that's awesome.

Cases too are a good point -- I like my HAF 912, but it collects dust like it was born to do it (though that could be as much my house as anything I suppose).

Edit: & Glad I'm not the only one who felt like a kid in a candy store at the chance ;)
 
In addition to what others have said, try out computer mouses there as well.

Though cases would be the big thing to check out IMO: I've rejected plenty of cases that looked good online but in person were just crap.
