I have a P55 mobo with an 875k OC 4.0 I'm running bigadv -smp 7
GPU's 2-470gtx's
4g OCZ Dominators 1333

Every once in a while I'll get a BSOD that only states Hardware Failure contact manufacturer.

I've searched the internet and cant get a answer.
Any suggestion?

Look from what STOP error it is giving you - that will tell you what the problem could be.

For example - STOP 101 and STOP 124 are too high oc/too low vcore or too low vcore or vtt.

That's the issue, there is no stop error.
I did just bump up my vcore a bit. Im running Stanfords v7 so I thought it might be related to it but it's happened with tracker also.

didnt Tobit just post that you're not supposed to do -smp 7 ??

O, I had that error a few tines before the cpu died taking out the motherboard with it, what voltage is your memory ?? 1.65v???

Memory voltage 1.6v

I've been running -smp 7 for over a year without issues. So I'm not thinking thats the issue. I thought it had to do with v-core but if I push it 1.4 my temp are out of my comfort range 85c.

What I need to do is get rid of this rig and get an SR-2 or Quad AMD rig. But I have no cash.

you can run smp 7 with the v6 client, they recommend not running it with the v7 client when running bigadv.

I imagine the SMP -7 will just get relegated to the old "Mapping NT from 7 to 6" kind of behavior like we see when trying to run smp 11 and etc. So anyway, I'm pretty sure that's not the issue.

I do suspect it's related to the OC. Possibly temp related. How is that CPU being cooled?

You might try dropping the OC to 3.8ghz or so temporarily to se if that resolves the issue.

I have an H50 cooling, temps never got over mid 60's. Since I've bumped up the vcore im around upper 70's low 80's. I'm not too excited about the temp but haven't BSOD'd since I bumped it up.

Tank I've had the exact same error without a specific error code...backed my blk down 2mhz and it disappeared...Hopefully the Vcore bump takes of it...keep us posted...

temps aren't bad. depending on how much you bumped the voltage you can probably try playing with it and seeing how low you can get it. are you running single fan or push/pull on it and what direction do you have the fan(s) pulling air from?

Update.... Still holding steady no BSOD(knocks on wood).
I only have one fan right now that exhausts out the rear, I may try to pull cool air from the outside but it sits right next to my other rig that is exhausting hot air.
