Seems like the GTX 970 just went from golden child to a POS. I'd rather have a 780ti with consistent frame times than something that stutters whenever the memory usage exceeds 3.5GB. I guess they figured that most people are stuck at 1080p so the 3.5+GB Vram stuttering scenarios wouldn't be noticed. This is the sleaziest thing that Nvidia has done lately besides GameWorks code obfuscation for AMD video cards. After typing that statement, I guess it's par for the course for them. And that's damn sad commentary.
