Hardcore gaming on Win 8

The fact that they restrict PEGI 18+ games from the Marketplace means that they have no intention of selling AAA titles like BF3 through their store.
 
Lol. That would be correct. However I am still curious. Or is the basement part the prereq?
 
I think they pulled this list of games out of their ass. I didn't buy Darkness 2 until I was on win8 and I finished it so I know it works fine.
 
I bought and downloaded W8 today on a separate partition on my i3 laptop, and everything seems to be running quite well. I can't imagine why so many people are complaining, I personally like it, and it isn't even close to Vista in the quality department.

What I gather from the author's terrible, terrible English skills is that this list contains any game that will throw any error for any reason at any time while being run under Windows 8....This, of course, is a fairly stupid list to make. Games with simple workarounds like running in Compatibility Mode for Windows 7 or Windows XP, or changing file permissions on a few files, etc, should not be listed. If the game can be made to run with minimal effort, then I don't really care that it has 'out-of-box' issues on Windows 8. Meanwhile, if there's a game that absolutely will not work on Windows 8 without loads and loads of work, there's no way to differentiate it from a game that takes 10 seconds to get working.

I'll also throw out there that any game on that list which I own I have successfully been able to get working on Windows 8 without much trouble.
 
Yeah, the list is BS. There is no need to make up reasons not to switch. There are plenty of legit reasons without bothering with making anything up.
