For $3, why not?

I never beat the first one but it seemed cool.

I played through the original version and its free expansion, really enjoyed my experience. Grabbed the Redux version, started a file, I'll probably play through it as well but I got other stuff to focus on right now. I'll get around to it. It runs in Direct3D 11 now instead of Direct3D 9. Been a while since I played the original version, so we'll see if I end up noticing the differences and additions in this newer version. Quicksave is a most welcome addition though. Game still looks pretty good, controls well, runs well (1920x1200, my framerate in the first two levels was in the high 200s and low 300s, I looked at a wall and saw it hit 440 fps, lawlz). Kinda hard to pass up for three freakin' bucks.

Yeah, I grabbed it too. I played maybe half of the original, and while I really liked it, I got distracted by other things. I'll give this one a go as soon as I finish with Doom and Mirror's Edge.

I went ahead and downloaded the new version. they have a dash move that should make the game easier. not sure when the katana comes into play, it is not a default weapon.... (that I could see)

I enjoyed the two previous versions of this (Original and Extended Edition) so I will definitely pick it up. Also, really looking forward to Shadow Warrior 2. I hope they stick to the original time frame and release it this year!

Welp, it is only $3 so it is not a huge expenditure, especially considering the extended version was free :)

I just downloaded it and tried it. It runs great (60 FPS) at 4K with all options set to High on my 970.

Can't speak for the Redux but the original is a nice game.

There was a review on GOG that indicated the same, but overall the GOG and Steam reviews are very positive. I picked it up anyway; played through the Extended Edition last year and really enjoyed it. I would rather have a Hard Reset 2 that improved on the first one, but for $3 I thought it would be worth playing again in the Redux.

Looking forward to finally powering through / finishing this. I've had the vanilla version since launch and for whatever reason I've started it about 3 or 4 times, played the first two hours or so and then moved on to other things. Which is a shame because the game was/is gorgeous, I'm a big fan of the mechanics and love the oldschool FPS vibe they were going for.

Supposedly this is also going to be released for SteamOS/Linux sometime in the very near future.

Picked it up even though I never quite finished Hard Reset or Shadow Warrior LAWL!
