HArd drive problems?

Hey watzup guys I'm having hard drive problems this is what happen
I was trying to overclock my barton 2500+ after I got to 3200+ speeds it got stuck in windows startup after I reseted the pc it would tell me to insert disk to boot so I tried my hard drive on another pc as slave but when I try to get into it says hard disk unformated :eek: but I dont want to loose my hard disk informacion what should I do to backup what I had on it.

I have even try to fix windows but It says unrecognize format
I think the only solution would to format the hard drive to fix it
but I dont want to loose my data

Any idea guys?
 
did you try setting back to stock?? what mobo and what RAM do you have..?? how long were you running it like this?? cause if the RAm ain't up to par it could have pour a massive amount of corrupted data into that bad boy...
 
It's a 8RDA+ Ultra 400 motherboard and the memory is dual channel geil dragon pc3200 memory I have had this setup for about 1 month.

And yeah I reseted to default I even tried the hard drive on another mobo and procesor
and I get a message you need to format hard drive any ideas on how to backup my data without formating?
 
Where it says the HD info, press enter, and look at the access mode... Here's what Arstechnica says:

IDE Access mode
Options: CHS, LBA, Large/Other
CHS is for drives smaller than 512MB. LBA is for drives that are larger. "Other" or "Large" are for drives that do not support LBA after 8GB, usually very old drives that are larger than 8GB.
 
Wierd stuff I just tried file scavenger it seems to recognizae files that I deleted before but It cant seem to find files that are currently on the hard drive maybe if I format it then use file scavenger I can get them back
