I completed building my system last week - ASUS P8Z68-V. Two SATA (WD) drives. I loaded Win 7 and everything ran fine.
Twice in the last 2 days, my system freezes - only the mouse moves. Looking at the drive activity light, it is on solid. I cannot reboot the system, but must do a hard reset.
Looking at the event log shows nothing - no error before the lockup. What I do see in the log is: an Event ID: 7026 - "The following boot-start driver failed to load: VDiskBus." This may not be related to the freeze problem. But...
The Virtual Disk service was set to start Manually and I changed it to Automatic. The error in the Event Log still occurs - on every re-boot.
Any ideas on what may be causing the system to freeze?
Any idea on how to eliminate the VDisk error?
