Hard drive dying?

Hard drive is very slow to access. Will freeze for a while when trying to click on something on that drive. Can't do a scan disk past Phase 4, it freezes. Having a hard time trying to copy the files to another hd, keeps randomly freezing during file transfers.

What to do?
 
Try a program by the name of "spinrite" from Gibson Research. www.grc.com

It costs money, but it's definately worth it for what it can do. I've had my ass saved a few times by that thing.
