I don't want to be the team that surges and then a few months later falls back..... If we have a gain I want to keep it.... that means going slow... but always forward!

 
Yes, that's the spirit... I have a quad to build tomorrow when the hsf come and another quad coming :D

 
We'll get to 2 soon enough. We were about a quad short of 1.4 yesterday.

I think I need to whip out before and after pictures... my mini server room more than doubled in boxes... :) D is always the answer!

 
Just minutes ago I was a few clicks away from ordering a new motherboard and a Q9450 for my main rig. Threads like this get me even closer to making those impulse buys. Who knows, I still might go through with it.

How about 1.6 now ?

We are now averaging 1.5 millions and still climbing, which is the biggest milestone Stanford ever saw from a single team. This is happening no matter the outcome of the Chimp Challing and I applaud everyone to push farther toward a cure !

Folding since April '03 here. And I have Relic to thank for the inspiration to make this such an addiction.

My boxen have been running 24/7 since 4/03 expect for a few hours downtime to upgrade :D

The difference in points and processing power in the last 5 yrs is amazing!! I remember starting with a watercooled xp2400+ and a 2000+ and was thrilled with 100ppd. Even a yr ago having an opty 165 producing 1,000ppd was a big deal. Now anything less than 5,000 ppd is a little anti-climatic.
 
I only said 1.5 because it's 3/4 of the way to 2.0 ;)

I just wish I could add some more production. Unfortunately I have no real choice right now. I can't afford to spend anymore money to build another quad system or two right now. I'm hoping to take care of that by the end of the year though. I'm not worried about waiting for Nehalem since it's going to be a long time before it's affordable, especially like the current Q6600s are.
