Half Life Source

Hi,
Is Half Life source exactly the same as the first game, just rendered in the source engine?
Also, could someone please (as I am just about to get Half Life 2, as I did not want to play it on my crappy old dx8 pc...) what is the story of half life, and in particular the end and all the revelations in the story etc.
I.e could someone just give me a spoiler of half life one?

Anyways, yeah Half Life Source is exactly what you guessed. The first one rendered in the Source engine.

It's been way too long since I beat HL1 to remember the ending. You leave on a train and you talk to the G-Man, but I'm pretty sure its a cliffhanger ending with very few revelations, if any. HL2's ending has more revelations and is more of a cliffhanger.

You can choose to work for the G-man or die on the spot. Since there is a HL2, Gordon chose to work for him.

just download one of those "half-life in 40 minutes" videos from wherever, you get the entire story in the formof an entertaining, bunnyhopping-filled TV show

One thing I noticed about HL source is that the AI is a lot more aggressive, especially in hard mode. The section with the chopper firing rockets at you is intense to say the least.
