Looking for a good hack n slash game that plays well with a 360 controller. Dungeon Seige 3 kept me entertained for awhile but need something fresh.

Suggestions?

Are you looking for it to have RPG elements? Also, birds eye view like Dungeon Seige or does that not matter? What have you played?

The Witcher 2 is fantastic is you want a more in-depth RPG. If not, Darksiders is on sale on steam this week and may be good. Both play very well with a controller.

DMC4 and Darksiders are both amazing recommendations, I second those.

Darksiders is good. I would describe it as a hybrid hack and slash and puzzle/dungeon game (Zelda style). Space Marine is also fun, though its a hybrid hack and slash/shooter, try the demo and see if you like it. It plays reasonably well with a 360 controller, though admittedly if you try and go online you'll get dominated if you try and use the controller. But the single player is fine with a controller. But yeah, try the demo, the demo is pretty much representative of the full game (the single player portion at least).

+1 for Darksiders $13 on Steam now!

Dead Island is pretty sweet, been playing that coop with a 360 controller, works well.

Gonna wait to see if darksiders goes on sale. Thanks for the heads up.

Any need to have played the first 3 Devil May Cry before 4?

Check out "Orcs must die" and see if it is compatible(not released yet so I can't look myself).
All I know is it is addicting and frustrating!! Arrgghh, stupid ogres!!

Edit:

I just saw it was released a day early on steam(good bye tonight, hahah), and that it's also up on xbox live, so there must be some kind of support in game!

Darksiders is pretty good. I enjoyed the hell out of that game. Beat it twice to get all the achievements :)

Another +1 for Darksiders. Think I may start DMC4 this week sometime, hope it is just as good.

If you're looking for something similar to DS3, give Bastion a try. It's a great indie game that just came out, and I was thoroughly impressed with it. Very cool art direction and story line, however the loot system is a little different than your typical action rpg. Even Yahtzee liked it...and he fucking hates everything.

Hmm. My Xbox H&Slash list:
+ Darksiders
+ Devil May Cry series
+ Ninja Gaiden series
.... Don't remember.

I never really liked the gameplay for Titan Quest, graphics were great, but the game was a little dull.

Darksiders is great, finished it over a year ago.

Finally got around to playing DMC4, think I liked Darksiders a lot better. DMC is just too... Capcom. That and I couldn't get any voice actor sound.
