I don't know where you get your market rates from. google says it's $524.71 and a small fraction, xe.com says it's $523.95.

Yep, yahoo (http://finance.yahoo.com/currency/convert?amt=534&from=CAD&to=USD) says it's $524.30. The CAD is worth less than the USD right now.

The GTX 280 had droped another $100 now. Check it with DirectCanada or NCIX again. It would be wonderful if it can drop another $100 to $330.
