• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

[H] is participating in another World Community Grid challenge. This one, called the Christmas Race 2017, we are currently ranked first, but we need help hanging onto the lead as Team China is slowly catching up to us.

If you would like to donate some CPU cycles to the race for team [H] then follow the steps below:

Register an account here:
https://join.worldcommunitygrid.org?recruiterId=993628&teamId=BP5XNJBR9N1

Download this: https://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_all.php - Download BOINC (9.56 MB)

Install.

When it asks you to add a project search for WorldCommunityGrid. Sign in using your USERNAME and password you signed up with on the link above.

Let it calculate how many cores you have and how fast they are. WU's should begin downloading.

If you have any questions ask here or if you dare to venture out of Genmay then go here: https://hardforum.com/threads/wcg-13th-annual-2017-birthday-challenge.1945559/

Thanks for joining!

IM doing ot now but .... How do we kjnow its bound to [H]? As in how do we know my PC is doing work for the team here?

As long as you follow the link in the OP to register your account it'll automatically join you to the team. Which you did because I can see you in the team list.

If you login to your account at www.worldcommunitygrid.org and click My Contribution in the top right menu, then click on My Team on the bottom left side menu you'll see the team name and stats.

Thanks for joining also.

I switched over to using my NAS Xeon E5-1620 for now as I am reworking my OC settings and fine tuning my 7820x a little more. At least I am turning numbers on a dedicated server even though for some reason it is limited to dual cores...

I think I need to reconfigure my ESX to allow 4 cores 8 threads to the win10 vm that is running it right now.

Yeah BOINC will only run on the number of cores/threads the VM is allowed and/or the host has.

Well we have had some great success with new people joining us. Collectively we have reclaimed 4th place that we lost momentarily and put a nice comfortable lead on 5th. We are also closing in on 3rd quickly, but I'm not sure we have enough new members to overtake them before the end of the event. Hopefully we can get a few more new comers to really push us into 3rd.

We are gaining on 3rd place, but we still need more volunteers or we wont catch them in time. Less than 24H to go.
