Hey everyone! poddo got me into this whole folding business about 3 days ago. It's become an addiction. In the past 3 days, I've setup folding on the 4 computers at my house. In addition to that, I've already borged a few at work (with their consent of course). I'm a PC technician at Circuit City, so I get quite a few opportunities to do so. Don't worry, I always fold For The [H]orde!

I used to fold for another team, well my own for a hardware website I ran once upon a time until things went bad, so very very bad.

Its a addictive as hell, i also work as a techie at a college and am hoping on getting at least a couple of computer suites folding,, they maybe 2gig celerons but 100 of them will make up for the lack of cache :p

I just started doing folding@home last night. Is there a hard forum team and if so what is the number for it?

I was also wondering if anyone has problems with folding not working well with other apps.
I use coolmon system display and when I try to open the folding @ home window while coolmon is running it will crash.
 
the [H] team is team 33...

sounds like you're using the graphical client, most of us here recommend the more stable console client and EMIII to monitor it... the console is a classic set it and forget it app that'll be hidden from view..... not only that, but it doesn't have the graphical issues that the other client has.......

Welcome to all the newcomers! Now, who was it that kept posting the exact same thing in every welcome thread? Was it Moose? Marty? K*? Any way, I would strongly recommend the [H]orde Central thread--there are tons of links in there for FAQs, how to get your [H]'s, setup instructions, etc.

 
ok i followed the instructions but I still couldn't get the stat appear in my post.

and what effect would a favorite link have on the forum in the first place?
 
If you copy the code provided on your hardfolding.com stats page, this link contains the appropriate java script that place the badge, the link to your stats page, and submits your post.

As long as you have java enabled, putting this code in a link should setup the one button click.

if you highlight the code from HF.com and drag and drop to bookmark taskbar thing in FF it works too


 
You can also highlight them, then drag and drop in here. I tried it for shits and, giggles to see if it worked.
