Maybe not.
Was just extracting data from floppys that I made with my first PC back in 1998.Why? Because I recently built a Win98 era gaming rig with old hardware lying around. And speaking of IDE cables ;)

[edit] - almost all of the cheap optical disks from back then are dead now, even though they were stored in an ammo can. No biggie since most of them were poor quality MP3s from Napster. Remember them? Data on the HDDs from back then still work. And so goes my inadvertent optical vs magnetic storage longevity test.

I played Daikatana deathmatch with Romero on an 8 person LAN in their offices...he was not that good. Billy Wison was playing too.

Actually, at the time I wrote that we had ZERO business model. I though this whole making a living on the web thing was bullshit.
 
Yep 1999 - 2001 everyone was bringing in their blah minitowers to work and we were cutting holes everywhere with dremels and drills. I'm sure the people who were trying to get real work done (LOL, right) were thrilled to death listening to power tools all day long. I specifically remember one guy brought in a white gateway 2000 full tower that still had a 486DX33 in it. We tore everything out, drilled like 6 fan holes, and went to Fry's at lunch and pimped his rig out. I think he went up to a P3-500 (overclocked to 750) that day, huge upgrade. Damn that thing was loud as hell when we were done. He wanted to paint it purple or some crazy shit but never got the chance... his GF split on him and stole everything that wasn't nailed down, including his spanking "new" Gateway rig.
 
...and two decades of "blow" and "suck" jokes were born.
