Disclaimer: HardOCP and HardForum, as well as their staff, are in no way associated with this contest. I am doing this contest on my own, with the help of a few other forum members. If you have any questions, comments, or problems with the contest, you need to contact me personally at viper87227@gmail.com. Please do not contact any HardForum staff members about this contest; they will not be able to help you.
That said, welcome all to the 2nd [H]ardFolding contest. This time around, things will be a bit different, as I hav decided to give a raffle system a try. This is sort of a trial deal, we will see how it turns out and it will help determine how future contests are run. .
The Rules: As with the last contest, the point limit for this contest will be 5,000 points. You must have 5,000 to be allowed to enter the contest. If you enter the contest and you do not have 5,000 points, you entry will be rejected and you will be disqualified from the contest. Please to not enter until you are sure you have 5,000 points. This time around, the contest will be funded by a raffle system. A raffle ticket will cost you $5, at there is a limit of 10 tickets per person, that way the odds cant be tipped to much in one persons favor. If you would like to donate money above the $50 in tickets, you are more than welcome to, but you will not receive additional entries. The winners will be chosen completely at random, and are in no way influenced by mine or anyone elses opinions. The contests start date it June 1st, 2005 and its end date is October 1st, 2005. That is four months, plenty of time to achieve the 5,000 point goal. If you have any questions or comments, please contact me at viper87227@gmail.com.
The Prizes: I wanted to focus purely on more Ghz for the fold this time around, so the prizes will be three, completely pre-built, folding ready PCs. The aim is to have a very nice CPU and motherboard, and then cutting corners where possible, such as a video card. As of the contest start, the final specs. of each computer are unknown, since it depends greatly on how much money I can raise, but below you can see estimated specs. based on parts I have now. Also, I am proud to announce, there is something very special about one of these computers. The third computer in the list below will have a very unique look to it. Forum member Spectre has volunteered to custom mod. I will not have any pictures until he is finished, but trust me, its going to very [H]ard.

Overseas Information: I have been trying to think of a way to include overseas people, and it has been a difficult task, given that overseas shipping will be quite expensive. Therefor, I have two different solutions. The first solution, if someone overseas wins, they have the option to let their computer fold under their name in my basement. I would see to it that it was folding 24/7 under the winners name. The other option, which is mainly designed for if someone overseas wins the computer with the sweet case, is to pay the overseas shipping delta. I will pay the cost to have to shipped to the coast, whatever it costs to get it past that is the winners responsibility. This is the best way I could think of to include you overseas people at all, as I can't afford the shipping out of my pocket. If you do not agree to one of the two methods above and your overseas, please don't enter. Anyone in the continental US or Canada, I will be paying shipping in full.
Special Thanks: I did not do this contest on my own, and as such there are a few people that deserve recognition. First on the list without a doubt are Kyle and Steve, who have given me permission to run this contest and done plenty of front page pimping. I also need to thank OSUguy98 for his excellent job as contest co-coordinator. He has helped me every step of the way with this contest, and deserves a lot of credit. Next up is a friend of mine, Shannon Paige. Shannon did the PHP coding for the entry page and hosted the site for me. Lastly, and most importantly, are all the folders out there. It is you guys who are making these contests possible, and you guys who are out there saving lives without looking to get anything back.
Please, if you have any further comments or questions leave them in this thread or contact me at viper87227@gmail.com. Good luck to everyone, and happy folding.
