I'm trying to change my current email address of this account to a gmail account but it would't n let me.. Said something about yahoo and hotmail being disabled. Does that included Gmail?
 
This rule rather silly but oh well. I dont see anything related to email in the FAQ.
 
It's not in the FAQ, just the rules

(6) No Web based EMAIL ACCOUNTS (i.e Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc) allowed for forum registration. You must have a valid e-mail account where you can be reached by a forum moderator or administrator. Email accounts must be updated in your account when a change is required.

This is done due to the use of free accounts to spam the forum.
 
It would be a neat option if, while you still had to register with a non-free email, you could set up the pm notifications, etc to a free account.

It would be nice to use my main account (hotmail.com) to check if anyone replied to my thread/pm. I consantly have to log into [H] to check User CP.

I used an unfamillar free web based email account only to register this account. I havent logged into that email account ever since this was registered.

I'm pretty sure there a lot people out there wanting to post something but they could't because of this. I feel sorry for them.

If they were allowed to use hotmail accounts to register consider the amount of spam everyone would recieve in their PM box for various different things. Already members have reported nigerian frauds. Which use a @usa.com email address to fool some people because it isn't a popular free based email.
 
Everyone needs at least one brick and mortar ISP email address to be considered legitimate here....having two sets of email addresses ain't gonna happen. ;)
