Got to right here and didn't want to read anymore:

Game still looks good though but it's hard to get hyped for it with it not coming out for eons from now.

The wide array of skills is what makes Guild Wars enjoyable. Being able to critique your build to serve a certain purpose and being a badass is great. Simpler combat with less skills sounds.... zzzz

Why? They always have the option of adding more skills later on.

They had alot of redundant skills before. Many that were very close to one another. Now they can focus more on less but more unique abilities.
I wouldn't worry about it. I dare say this will likely be a good thing.

It reads they are going to the way other mmo's are. Several servers, less instances, more open world. Should be interesting. I always enjoyed the cut scenes as you progressed through Guild Wars.

I liked the first GW, but this time I hope and pray they reduce the grind missions somewhat. I swear if I have to go kill another 20 rats....

Yes

A lot of skills that are barely different...clones of skills in seperate expansions...etc.
