Well i dont know if this is the proper section for this, or if its already been posted before, but i did this mod a couple months ago and figured i'd post up the review i made for it. Enjoy:
..:Turning your XBOX controller into a USB device that can be used on a computer::.
Well since the posts on this forum were kind of shady, so I took the liberty of making up a guide, its straight and to the point, but this mod is quite simple so it doesnt need to be more than that.
Ok lets begin:
Use this pin read out for reference:
Before:
( Purchased from radioshack for the total of 35$CAN)
The Splices:
(Match the colors and leave out the yellow)
After:
(It looks Ugly, but if u actually cared about that you can buy an electricians box from radio shack, and hide everything in that so its a straight line of cord, instead of the V)
Finished product:
The Splice looks ugly, but who cares:
Drivers Used:
XBCD Drivers. Why? because they rock and there regularly updated.
SITE: http://phaseone.sytes.net/
And thats basically that, the whole thing takes no more than 15 minutes to do, and you save a bunch of money making your own kick ass controller rather than shelling out a whole bunch of money for a controller with dual analogue tons of buttons a POV hat and rumble.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
