GTX260,keep it or sell it?

a few weeks ago my BFG 8800Ultra died and that was the 3rd one. so i went a head and bought a EVGA GTX280 because i was not sure if BFG will replace it for me. i also wanted to upgrade. 10 days ago i gave it a shot and contacted BFG . they accepted to send me a replacement. today i just received a GTX260 from BFG. now i don’t know what to do: use the GTX260 as PPU with the GTX280, or just sell it? im leaning to use it as PPU because if i sell it without a box or warranty i wouldnt be getting much for it. i also thought about selling the GTX280 and getting another GTX260 for SLI but then i will have to buy a new motherboard.

Yup... sell it and use the cash on Evga setup program to get GTX 295.

Agree if you won't loose too much otherwise sell the 260......I've just ordered my second 260 to go into another system "for folding"! (mrmylanman )

Heh, gotta love that BFG customer support, they always tend to come thru. A couple years ago I had a BFG 6800 card die and it took two RMAs to get a working one to me, on the last one they told me to not even bother sending back the previous card they had sent me (which wouldn't even boot).

i would but i live in The Netherlands.

International shipping is quite expensive, and do you really want customs roughing up your card before it gets to you?

OP, I would keep the GTX 280 and find a local buyer for your GTX 260.

If a friend has an 8800GT, that will give you a decent PPU + some cash and he will get a great gfx card.

Check your PSU can handle the load of either GTX280 +GTX260 or GTX280 + 8800GT.
