Look what I've got for you freaks out there!

No, I didn't buy any. Just took a picture of it. Guess where I found them? Micro Center!

Isn't launch price suppose to be $130-140? Leak shows the GTX750ti benches slower than GTX660 which is a hair below 7850. Performance wise R9 270 and 265 are clearly better respectively at $200 and launch price.

Available Feb. 22nd.

That's the ASUS version, though.

This is kinda new, they usually release high-end silicon first and then their harvest after that. For Maxwell they release the mainstream first ?

Maxwell changes nVidia from big-GPU first to mobile-GPU first.

Not only that, I believe both AMD and Nvidia are waiting for 20nm production to ramp up or begin at TSMC.

The initial chips will be 28nm. If I recall, the R9 290 series were to be on 20nm but were put on 28nm instead.

The same could probably be said of the 750/750 Ti series also. Test the waters kind of thing. Then, once 20nm production starts later this year, we'll probably see the actual Maxwell 800-series cards appear from mid-range to high end.

I like seeing new technology and the way Nvidia improved power per watt efficiency looks promising.

What does AMD have on tap for 20nm? Merely throwing Hawaii onto 20nm does nothing for performance characteristics, unless they have a new uarch in the wings. Just curious. I have not heard of a new architecture by AMD being in the works, while Maxwell has been in the works for a while. Is there something after Volcanic Islands (that's what the 290X was, right?) Serious question. I have not heard of anything in the works at AMD by rumor sites.

My memory is fuzzy, but I remember seeing it mentioned... somewhere.

(I hate what chemo does to your brain and memory...)

Anyhow, there was supposedly a successor after Volcanic Islands. Someone in another forum post mentioned Pirate Islands.

Pirates island bro, some dude named maxwell wouldn't even survive on a pirates island bro

And just because you hear a ton of stuff about, doesn't make it good

From all I've heard about maxwell I'd of thought it was going to change graphics as we know it, its been in the works since the dark ages

Also companys are always working on the next update to an item
