GTX 295

tkam, you might try mod'n the inf file to add support for the 295 and use one of the 178 versions.
I'm still using the 178.13s and 178.24s for folding on my 280s Vista 64.

ChrisRay stated the 185.20 are a very early beta and not suggested for gaming or folding. :p

I wonder if the i7 boards have the same issue that the 680i and 750i boards do.

What issues are those? I ran 8800GTXs on a 680i and I'm running two 780i boards with two 280s in each.

181.20 were released since they are the only drivers that officially support the gtx 295.. which is why they were released..

By adding support for your card by using a mod'd inf file, you can use drivers not released for your card. Just like prior to nVidia releasing notebook drivers, many myself included were able to use other than OEM drivers.

The 180 series might be great for gaming, but they cause a hit PPD vs. the 178s.
Worth a shot trying them on the 295. I would if I was running 295s.

The issues were:

If you put multi GTX260/280 into a 680i or 750i motherboad (might be NV chipsets as well) The mobo would force the 2nd card into a 2D only powersave mode that you could not switch off. This made the card fold at about 1/2 speed.

I went though a bunch of mobos trying to figure out what the hell was going wrong. I Got a P45 board and everything is fine. I have no sli, but I flod at full speed.

One of the reasons why I'm looking at 4870 card to replace so I can turn Xfire on.

Okay, I've seen that on my 780i boards. It requires uninstalling RivaTuner prior to the video drivers, (for me). Once the driver is installed, I reinstall RivaTuner.

Hmm, just ran a quick comparison with my GTX 280 on Vista x64 and 178.24 does yield about 2.5% better PPD than 180.48.

I used the 180.48s long enough to finish CoD5, then went back for my missing PPD. :p
