GTX 260 Issue

So recently, I replaced a malfunctioning mobo of a cousin's computer; however, I can't get anything to display on my monitor with the GTX 260.

I have a GTX 260 of my own and so I tried using it in place of his and it worked just fine.

I then placed his GTX 260 into my computer and it worked fine.

I then tried putting his GTX 260 back into his rig and the display still didn't work.
I've tried using both DVI-outs, wiggling the cables, reseating the video card into the slot, cleaning the contacts. Nothing worked

Does anyone have any insight as to why this is happening?

Did it post?
Check the PCI power cables going to the card.
Does the mobo have onboard graphics?

Not posting. Cables seem fine since they work on my card. Also, the fan on his GTX 260 does turn on. New mobo does not have onboard graphics.

There was some issue about this a while ago which I don't remember exactly. Are you running a DVI monitor ot VGA/HDMI adapters? Because there was something about some 260s not sending the pulses at the right times.
Have you tried with the monitor turned on?
Also which manafacturer is it? I know gigabyte released a new bios to help with booting problems.

I've tried DVI and VGA-to-DVI
Monitor is turned on before system is turned on as well as turned off then back on.
The motherboard is a Gigabyte so I'll look into the bios. Thanks

I mean the card bios! There was an issue with some gigabyte 260s a while back that meant they had problems posting.
