GT240 to HD6870

Ok, so I'm in a dilemma since I don't if it is worth right now to upgrade it or wait even more for the other's video cards to come out.

Anyways I was aiming for a PowerColor PCS+ HD6870 1GB GDDR5 (180€). Is it a good card? Is the price good? Does my PSU handle it? Also I don't want to go above the 180€.

I play in a 22" monitor 1680x1050.


my current build is:

INTEL CORE i5 2500K
ASUS P8Z68-V
CORSAIR GS-600W
KINGSTON KIT 8GB DDR3 1600MHZ HYPERX
 
Yup thats a great gpu choice for your system. That psu is fine for that.
See if you can get a better manufacturer other than power color. If memory serves they only offer a 2 yr warranty. See if you can get an Asus, XFX, Sapphire or Gigabyte version instead.
 
The 68xx cards are over a year old now, and I don't think it would be worth it to spend that kind of cash on year-old hardware. The 78xx cards are literally right around the corner, and that's where you should be looking at spending your money.
 
I was going to say, that seems incredibly expensive for a 6870. Must be a regional thing.

Newegg's got em for about $150 USD. That one is more like $235 USD...crazy.
