GRID 2.

Is there any fucking logic to starting position in this game?

I always start in the last 3, and the NPC I need to beat always starts in the first 3. I'm on season 5, where all of the tracks are extremely narrow, and it's exceptionally hard to pass 10 cars.

Medium makes me yawn, but Hard makes me shout obscenities at inanimate objects, entirely because of this.

Loving this game. Fantastic tracks in this one and the new cars I am unlocking are great too. On to Season 4 right now.

Absolutely lovin this game... that's kind of racers I love, I hate all the realistic games. I love things like this or last Forza or the GT. Fun, easy to drive just for casual racer like me :)

I like it mostly but I don't likehow you have to progress through the career mode. You really can't skip anyrace's or it doesn't let you progress. Also unlocking cool cars takes fucking forever. Overall I like it but I liked the first one more.

It does take forever, 10 hours in and the best I've got is a VW.

I also hate the changing tracks that don't mark corners with arrows. I don't follow real life racing, is there a version where the corners are not marked and the driver doesn't get to see the track ahead of time?

I'm pretty sure there were still arrows and distance markings on the randomized tracks? I could be mistaken.

Anyways, I ended up turning the difficulty down to Medium and derping my way through the rest of season 5 (last season btw). Decent game, probably the best PC arcade racer since 2010, but it doesn't hold a candle to the original.

If any of you have a 360, check out Forza Horizon. That and the original GRID are my favorites of this generation.

playing the single player.....this is ultra arcade. I just used the normal settings and its easy, really easy. Some tracks I dont need to take my foot off the gas once.
Put it to hard and I still cant loose a race.

You're the man.

You're the man.

Even switching from a wheel to the xbox controller, its almost effortless to throw a car around a 90deg bend at full throttle. Spinning out just doesnt happen.
Its been along time since I did grid, but this feels like NFS.

I guess I was expecting more simulator and this is full on arcade.

looks great, but gameplay is childish.

The original definitely had more involved handling - I played it again right before I downloaded GRID 2 because I was interested to see what improvements they had made to handling, but I think this is a step back. Almost every race I'm leading after the first lap, and then it's just a grind until the end...

Kind of annoyed aswell with the vehicles.
The Nissan fairllady Z, Nissan silvia, and mustang March 1 all run toe to toe. Of the first half dozen cars, the only one that "feels" noticable different is the charger.

The chatterbox is driving me crazy. I wish he knew anything about racing. Ten seconds from the end of one race he told me the 2nd place guy was "right on my bumper" and then the 2nd place guy was "5 seconds behind". When it ended, I was 12 seconds ahead...

I got this game for free with the 4770K. I was going to use the code but then I remember I got Dirt (2?) the same way and really only played it once and ran the benchmark twice. What is Grid 2 going for now? Sure with the 4770K's they must be flooding the F/S forum

It's the "Corner Cutting Detected" and the subsequent two-second penalty that really annoys me about this game. I wish there was a way to disable it. I hate getting bumped off in a corner by one of the AI opponents and then having this happen. LOL, I had to add this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pd-_mWWwwxk

I bought it finally even though I knew there wasn't an in car view. While the game play is nothing special, I can see the appeal if you're looking for a heavily arcade based racing game. I wouldn't hook up a steering wheel for this game. GRID 1 is light years ahead of this game in the all important fun factor at the beginning at least. I haven't put a decent amount of time into it so far. But nevertheless that's my first impressions from completing a few races.

Tomorrow I'm going to play some multiplayer with a buddy that has it. I'll let you know how that turns out if it happens. I think that any Codemaster's game is worth $7.50. If you like the way their games feel and look then you won't be disappointed in this game.

Yeah, I loved the first GRID but was really disappointed with the second one. I'm now playing GRID Autosport and I'm really happy with it. I like the fact that you get bonus points by turning off the driving aids.
