Since I have six weeks of vacation built up, I decided to and head out and take a week off before the busy season kicks in (I am busiest in fall/winter). This time, we headed to Greenwater Provincial Park outside of Cochrane, Ontario. It was a nice park - very clean and very quiet. It was completely empty for much of the week. Of course, we weren't there 24 hours before the clouds slammed shut and the largest storm of the summer began (ie. tail end of Katrina). Despite non-stop rainfall I managed to get out and grab some pics through out the week:

Can't find anything to take a pic of? Start turning over logs!

I must have taken 50 pictures of this wood bug and a couple other similar coloured beetles. So far, they are proving to be the most challanging to expose correctly due to their glossy black bodies.
