better? slightly.JVC said:360 details look A LOT better. and the light illumination is 1000% better than in the ps3.

Anyways, Gamespot did a semi-valid comparison, but what did you expect? The 360 has been out for a full year. Its got great graphics. The PS3 is young, and it's definately got potential. In fact, if you aren't a programmer, I don't see how any of your arguments are valid on which console will have the better graphics. You can look up and throw out numbers all you want, but both systems will have games that will amaze you. I don't see why anybody has to hate on a console so much.

the only way i would buy a ps3 is if it came with a free blowjob and a $600 mail in rebate

The fact that they're ports, which means the graphics should at least be similar, really hurts the PS3 in this regard. Yes, obviously there's untapped potential in the PS3, but you can see clear signs of aliasing in those shots. Regardless of the game structure, the engine is applying a terrible AA algorithm (if at all).
With the recent news of older PS2 games not running well on the PS3, it's just another blow for Sony's new product.
Anyone that says the PS3 sucks because it's got terrible graphics need to wait a year. As of now, the Xbox destroys the new console, but who knows what's going to happen in a few months.
But as of now, anyone that purchases a PS3 over the Xbox 360 for it's graphical capabilities, is a F@NBOY. Disregarding game titles (which IMO are more important than graphics) buying a PS3 now is like buying an AM2 system.
It's quite sad, actually, as the majority of memorable games I've played were on the PS1 or PS2.
CleanSlate said:Who ever says there's a big difference is flat lying to either us or us and themselves. Clearly the only difference is the way the graphics cards handle the light reflections and saturation of the light. The textures look exactly the same minus the light differences... So, who are you kidding?
