Hello, I'm picking parts for a friend, he's currently on an FX 8320 + R9 270X and wants to upgrade. I was almost ready to give him the greenlight, but today Asus introduced a pretty hefty cashback on Skylake/Kabylake + Z170/Z270 motherboards, which shook things up a bit.
I've ended up with three different options in his budget of 16 500 Kč (~610 €). He'll be mainly gaming at 1080p, with maybe some light office work on the side - nothing that would trouble any modern CPU. Also I think it unlikely that he'll want to upgrade for the next 3 or 4 years aside from maybe a GPU.
To preface - he has a Seasonic M620W PSU and a CM N400 case. I'll be giving him a NH-U12P SE2 cooler either way, since I don't use it anymore and his current Gellid doesn't have AM4 support, in case we'll go with Ryzen in the end.
The options then:
1) AMD
2) i5 + 580/1060
3) i7 + 570
So which option would you pick?
