Google's 50 Most Searched Women on the Internet

Should I be upset that I've never heard a single song by either Lady Gaga or Justin Bieber? I've heard the names ... just not their music. Personally, I never listen to the radio and my iPod only has stuff I like (U2, ACDC, Bruce Cockburn, Johnny Cash, etc). Maybe I'm just too old!

I much prefer her singing solo while playing piano or with her old band but you have to admit, music is a business and what she's doing is working well so I don't blame her at all. Right, I saw the videos of her before she became Lady Gaga, plus her SNL performance gave a hint of singing and piano talent.

I think the sad thing is Lady Gaga is now known for her over the top costumes. Is she going to be doing that "thing" in 10 years, 20 years? I hope when she matures enough, she can break from that Lady Gaga and bring in more Stefani Germanotta to her music.

Yeah, they're both ridiculous. Wont argue against that. RAA RAA OO LAA LAA, just sounds incredibly ridiculous. :D

I can't say that what I listen to is any better though. NIN, Chevelle, RED, Linkin Park, Audioslave, and other rock groups I listen to have some lyrics/screaming that my family & friends find obnoxious.

First time I heard Justin song on the radio, I swear I thought it was one of those Disney female artist. Wasn't until they mentioned his name after that that I realize its actually a male:eek:

Reminds me of this band Hanson, one of them sounded like a girl in the song mmbop :p

My head was pretty firmly under a rock when the story broke so google helped me find out the whole long mess. Of course that was around girl #8 so I should probably get back to google on that.
 
never heard of Kesha, Ashley Tisdale and Justin Bieber.
recognized Kristen Stewart and Betty White after I saw their picture.
the gaga dude being #1 is beyond me but was interesting to read this type of things about him though.
I’m surprised Megan Fox fame ended so quickly.

trashy music with stupid lyrics is topping charts now but there will always be quality music around, I took the easy way and started listening to Korean music, don’t understand anything but love the happy theme in it and can talk about it to … well… my little sister :D check this one, the first thing I listen to when driving to work at morning.

In fact, I only know 5 of the top 10.

From the posts in this thread, I'm pretty sure I have no desire to learn who those two I listed are, either. Pop music makes me want to stab re-bar through my ears.
 
Imagine how the women who didn't make the top 6 on the Google list feel like to know that an androgynous boy is a more searched female than them. :D

This. This is why pop sucks more than any other type of music: not only does every song on an album sound the same, but every song is about the same thing too. Did I mention every artist sounds the same too?

Not knowing means you listen to better music than 90% of people in this country listen to.

That is something to be proud of - not upset, ashamed or anything like that.
 
I'm surprised Carmen Electra was so low on the list.

These must not be search numbers dating back to the early 90's.

Rick Astley is so awesome, I rickroll myself. Also, Lady Gaga has got some catchy tunes. That's why I like her music. I don't care how talented you are. If it sounds good to me, I'll listen to it. And that's not some (read: every) crazy metal band that can't even sing their lyrics without screaming like he's been popping too many pills.
 
Remember guys, by stating you do not know who Lady Gaga is, and by referring to her as a male, and by acting like her music is somehow on a lower than just about anything you'd hear on the radio or TV, is what makes you cool.

Us people who care what the everyman listens to, we'll just sit in the corner and weep tears of conformity.
