Don't moose (mooses...meese?) have balls hanging from their chins?....aka moose balls. Or were you referring to the other dangling participles?
 
Another brain fart. This one needs some work.

What if we had only one trophy (and no moose trophy, way too much self love there. do a poll I guess) and "clans" could from to battle against higher PPD members.

In keeping with the horde aspect, I don't know the new ranking system off hand that King added to hf.com, but maybe 3 swordsman could be allowed to take on a warloard for example.

Not that everyone would have to change their folding names or form official subteams, just person A/person B/person B says we wanna take on person D. On a given day (Sunday 12:00 noon CST) make a note of their total points, then after a given time, add up a/b/c and compare against /d/.

But then this "team" must defend their title should they win ect. And the "teams" must be close at least to the higher PPD person they attack.

Again, no forming of offical sub teams or changing user names. Too messy.

Kinda like the olds skool DnD days where a bunch on pieons attack a knight ect. Yea, whole post was worth it to call you all a bunch of pieons! :p

I guess it's ~5 trophies in different PPD classes, or one for battle royals.

Problem with one is how can it be prefented from a never ending sprial upward in team size? Cap number of users per team maybe? It might be a team building function, PM's to memebers who don't PM each other asking to join up ect.

You are not allowed to do something like this. I have plans for something similar but on a much bigger scale. I just have a basic outline of the plan and nothing concrete yet (damnit, I keep forgetting to get a snapshot of hardfolding) but it's looking to be big and I think a lot of fun if people have the interest and we have the resources to pull it off. And before you say you had the idea first, you can ask p[H]ant0m as he was the one I was discussing this with. I can even pull the IRC log for proof if you want.

Well, I guess you could do something like you have described. I guess it would be a small test for interest in this type of thing.

And no, I will not say anymore about what I am trying to cook up. It's going to take me a while to figure out everything and make it fair. I'm afraid the implementation is going to be a bitch if it's even possible with our resources.

I remember bits and pieces, but in the interest of getting all the info, the logs would be a very good place to go to get what was discussed. :D

You better watch it buddy. :p Besides, what I have in mind is not something that can be designed and thrown together real quick. Let's just say it will make the [H]ordeBowl setup look like child's play. :D I'm just hoping I can get everything put together and balanced correctly. Then I'm going to try to find a way to compile all the stats that is automated. Trust me, you don't want any part of what I'm trying to put together. I have a feeling it's going to turn what's left of my brain into mush. :eek:
